Patong beach is busy, loud and a lot of very unpleasant
subjects and people come together at this place.
By far the worst are Tuk Tuk driver who make
some fun out to puncture or empty the car tires
when they see a car with a foreigner parking.
Plus countless girls and lady boys
around the center of Bangla Road in the
evening. Its very interesting in optical
terms to see new age version of Sodom
and Gomorrah. But everyone has a good
time and this is the most important.
Along
Bangla Road and the small streets
branching off is the center of gravity
in terms of nightlife at Phuket Island,
hundreds of bars with thousands of
pretty Thai girls are waiting for
customers, the big spender are very
welcome. Actually almost all Thai people
think "farang" are millionaires.
Pickpocket's
hang around at Patong until they see a
chance, the worst of those hanging
around at Bangla Road are what they call
lady boys. |

Mai Khao Beach located at the north west end of Phuket, stretched
for several km, behind are coconut plantation and at the beach some
pine trees.
Mai Khao beach is lined with
coniferous trees it looks just almost as good as with palm trees.
The coconut palm are further behind, most beaches on Phuket Island
have pine trees along the sand. |
Mai Khao beach is
close to the
airport and quite far to
Patong and
Phuket Town, both are over 30 km to the the south.
Its a little bit isolated in the north since the only development is
the JW Marriott hotel just at the beach, but no real village around.
If you want to have it quiet on the beach in a luxury
environment Mai Khao beach is the best spot in Phuket. |
