Phuket Bangla Road or Soi Bangla at Patong is the most
famous entertainment zone on the island.
Since a few years now (2011)
they closed the road at both ends after around 8pm and made
a "walking street" similar to walking street Pattaya. That
was a great idea for sure. Now it a real fun zone with bars,
clubs, pubs, girls bars and hundred of Thai bar girls lining
the street.
Small allays left and right are
again bar zones with such exotic names as Soi Crocodile
alias Soi Katoey (Katoey stands for Ladyboy sea the pics
right below), Soi Sea Dragon, Soi Eric and so on, there are
many. There is a continuous stream of tourists until deep
into the morning who have fun, drink beer, eat some food in
plenty of different restaurants or go Phuket shopping which
is especially convenient since they opened Jungceylon Mall
at the east end of the road. |
