Hat Yai,
the third largest city in Thailand,
a few
kilometers southwest of Songkhla is the main
commercial city in the southern Thailand region. The
city is about 50 km from the Thailand Malaysian
border at Sadao Thailand and Padang Besar. The city has no
particular highlights
except a sizzling nightlife, great restaurants and
cheap shopping, the entertainment business and the
Thai girls attract in particular Malaysian tourists,
especially the guys who get here everything what
they don’t get in Islam dominated
Malaysia. But the
real hot nightlife is on at Sadao Thailand border town, with all kind of free wheeling nightlife
pleasures, pretty and young Thai girls are plenty
and they are around by hundreds trying to make some
money.
To come to this part of southern Thailand
including Sadao Thailand and Padang Besar is easy, the city has an
international airport, the only in this region and
Tiger Airways started Hat Yai flights to
Singapore
in 2010. There is a huge Hat Yai train station right
in the city center where the trains from Bangkok
come in and some leave for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
and the south.
Hat Yai bus service plays a central
role in transportation between Thailand and
Malaysia. But there is only bus service between
Bangkok and Padang Besar
directly to the Thai
Malaysian border all other Thailand buses from
Bangkok stop at Hat Yai and from there another bus
leave for Sadao Thailand and Malaysia,
Padang Besar is another border
town about 20 km northwest of the Sadao Thailand border
crossing. Padang Besar also has a full border
station open from 5am to 9pm plenty of Malaysian
people come in every day for shopping. Bangkok to Malaysia transportation stops at Hat Yai
where buses are changed. Usually bus travel is
Bangkok to Hat Yai and change the bus for
Kuala
Lumpur or places in the border region. The main
connections are
Phuket to Hat
Yai,
|
|
Bangkok
to Hat Yai and Hat Yai to Penang and other Malaysian
destinations.
Downtown is
dominated by
huge hotels
such as
Lee
Garden Hat
Yai,
Regency
Hotel Hat
Yai, Novotel
and plenty
other Hatyai
hotel. There
are no
Hatyai tours
in the close
proximity
all tours
offered at
the small
travel
agents are
bus tours to
Bangkok,
Phuket and
Malaysia.
Since the
city is the
third
largest in
Thailand,
after
Bangkok and
Chiang Mai
it is
strange that
not one page
of written
information
is available
anywhere,
neither at
the hotels
nor at any
travel
agent, book
shop or
whatever. The only
information
available in
English
language is
a city map
of downtown and
Songkhla
City plus
some
advertisements.
There is no
info at all
for Sadao Thailand
and Padang
Besar. It
clearly
shows the

dedication
of the city related
to the foreign
tourists, its sexy
entertainment, fun
and girls.
Hotels at downtown
are
virtually at
every second corner.
- The City
and Sadao Thailand plus
Padang Besar is
relatively
inexpensively, means
a shopping paradise.
In particular at the city center the
shop density is high and prices are
really moderate, considering this the
city is a great
shopping
destination.
With
the low prices in
airline travel today
nothing is more easy
as a flight to Hat
Yai for a great fun,
entertainment,
nightlife, sexy
girls, nightclub and
whatever weekend.
The same is valid
for Sadao Thailand and Padang
Besar. Great hotel deals
start at about Baht |
|
800,- per
night at Regency
Hotel Hat Yai for a standard room and prices go up to about
Baht 1200,- for de luxe rooms per night. The most
interesting hotel is
the Lee Garden which is above
the 10. floor of Lee
Garden Plaza. They
have a great
panorama restaurant

- Sadao Thailand is the main border
crossing to Malaysia
|
and Sadao Thailand stands
for great
nightlife,
fueled by two
sources, first the
guys from Malaysia
who want to have
some fun they cant
find in Islam
dominated Malaysia
and second by the
travelers who simply
get stranded since
the Sadao Thailand border is closed
from 11pm to 5am.
All this simple
parameters are
creating a vibrant
nightlife at Sadao Thailand with
dozens of bar,
discos, karaoke and
massage parlors and
hundreds of pretty
Thai girls who try
to make some money
in the nightlife
business. The
nightlife business
in Hat Yai and Sadao Thailand
is one of the most
important source of
income for thousands
of Thai people, of
course some western
moralistic crusaders
don't want to hear
that but the Thai
girls in the
nightlife business
want to earn money
and not to be a
vehicle by western
guys and women to
earn money with them
by pretending to do
all kind of "social
work" and cash
salaries in the 5
digit dollar region
at UN agencies and
NGO's which usually
only serve the
"farang" but not the
Thai and other local
people.
Thailand and
other countries
such as Myanmar,
Laos etc. are victims
of people who
hijacked the UN and
all kind of NGO's
who collect money
from EU taxpayers
and by donations
pretending to help
the poor people in
Africa, Asia and
elsewhere but
primarily this so
called "poor people"
are misused as a
front end by this
people in Geneva and
elsewhere to earn
money for them and
not to distribute
the donations etc.
to the local people
who really need it.
Since almost all
donations and
contribution from EU
taxpayers are
consumed in Geneva
and New York via
high salaries of the
relevant people,
most of them earn 5
digit dollar sums
per month, that's
where the money
goes, finally a trickle of
the money stream
will reach the
people in need, but
the other 90%
already vanished in
Geneva, New York and
elsewhere. |

Unfortunately every paradise has its snakes in
southern Thailand
this
are
Islamist fanatics called insurgent, that means bomb blasts, killing and casualties,
but luckily nothing happen in Hat Yai, Sadao Thailand and
Padang Besar in recent
years, this problem is centered more on the south
east side of southern Thailand, the places mentions here are
at the south west side close to the Andaman Sea. |
